Sullivan Ousts Elrod

It’s official: Residents of downtown Indianapolis have a new state representative. Democrat Mary Ann Sullivan has defeated Republican Jon Elrod.

"To (Sullivan’s) credit, she ran a strong race late in the campaign and ran some very strong ads," said Michael Davis.

"On education and economic development, she should be strong and may actually vote with (the Indiana Chamber) on those key issues," Davis said, referencing her work toward promoting charter schools.

Davis also explained the Indiana General Assembly could see 32 new faces in the coming year, the largest turnover in 20 years.
