Reps. Bucshon, Carson to Host Transportation Jobs Fair in Indy

A nice opportunity here from two Indiana Congressmen. Rep. Larry Bucshon's office writes: As many of you know, in the 112th Congress we passed several bills that make it easier for Veterans to obtain a CDL and additional transportation related jobs. We’re hoping to have a large turnout from potential employers and those who are looking for a job in the transportation industry. Here are the details:

Sen. Coats Hosting Job Fair in Lafayette

Sen. Dan Coats is hosting the 2012 Hoosier Job Fair on May 30 in Lafayette. There are currently 70 businesses already signed up to participate from all across Indiana, offering over 2,500 jobs. This job fair will be advertised throughout the state and organizers expect job-seekers from across Indiana (as well as graduating students from Purdue University) to be in attendance. Burton Hosting Job Fair

Congressman Dan Burton is trying to connect Central Indiana employers who are hiring with qualified candidates.

The 2011 H.I.R.E. (Help Indiana Regain Employment) Job Fair will take place on Friday Oct. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at ITT Technical Institute, 9511 Angola Court in Indianapolis).  The event is free.

Indiana Senators to Cosponsor Naval Surface Warfare Center (Crane) Job Fair

Indiana Senators Evan Bayh and Richard Lugar will cosponsor a job fair by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane on Saturday, April 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

The location for the event is the Purdue Research Park located at the Ameriplex, adjacent to the old Indianapolis airport., 5225 Exploration Drive, Indianapolis.

The job fair’s focus is NSWC Crane and military support contractors. Expected participants are:  Lockheed Martin, EG&G, SAIC, ITT, Stimulus, McKean, TSC, Tri-Star, Saber and CLEC (Crane Learning and employment Center for Veterans with Disabilities). NSWC Crane is interested in journeyman level scientists, engineers, contract specialists, logisticians (with military systems experience) and a few accountants.

NSWC Crane’s contractor partners are also interested in those positions as well as technicians and administrative support. Contractors are also interested in entry and midlevel candidates.
